Northwest German Shepherd Rescue is staffed entirely by volunteers. We strive to provide responses and feedback within 48-72 hours of all inquires.  Because we are an all-volunteer organization, and we work full-time jobs during the day as well as volunteering for the rescue, please bear in mind that we make certain requests in order to better utilize our time and help as many dogs as we can.

Meeting the Dogs

NWGSR is a volunteer, foster-based rescue.  All of the dogs in our care are placed in foster homes, living in a typical home setting with a family.  As such, we do not have just one facility where potential adopters or volunteers can come and visit the dogs.

If you are interested in volunteering your time as a dog walker, we urge you to apply as a respite foster parent who could help dogsit for 1-2 days while our full-time fosters go on vacation, or apply at your local shelter or humane society.
